
Ha Long Bay: Vietnam has four sites recognized by UNESCO as World
Heritage that all tourists can't afford to miss. From North to South, the
first World Heritage site admired by all nature lovers for its natural marvel
is Ha Long Bay. A four-hour boat trip will take you to beautiful hidden
caves and lagoons among the massive limestone towers scattered throughout
Ha Long Bay in the Gulf of Tonkin, but it may take you days to explore all
the fascinating and striking sceneries of the bay. Prime spots for swimming
or exploring in small longtail boats or kayaks.

Hue is another A UNESCO World Heritage Site, once the capital of
Nguyen dynasty, between early 19th and fisrt half of 20th century. The
ancient citadel, built in 1804, was seriously destroyed during the American
War, but now is restored and preserved with the UNESCO's help. A boat
trip through lush countryside on the Perfume River to get to the Thien
Mu pagoda, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Royal Tombs of Nguyen Dynasty
are also suggested. Bach Ma National Park, 1,200m above the sea level
but only 20km from Canh Duong beach, is also a place you can't afford
to miss if you are nature lovers
Hoi An Ancient
Town and My Son Holy Land
Forty-five
minutes by land south-east of Da Nang is the ancient town of Hoi An, which
was one of the most important trading ports in Southeast Asia for merchants
from China, Japan and afar for a couple of centuries ago. Originally a
seaport in the Champa Kingdom, by the 15th century It had become a coastal
town under the Tran dynasty. Also served as the hub of East-West cultural
exchange, Hoi An's ancient past is superbly preserved in its fascinating
temples, pagodas, shop houses which make up the town's old quarter. Walking
in the streets of this ancient
town, one can observe the influence of the architecture. Many impressive
Chinese and Japanese architectures still remain nearly unchanged, such
as Chinese pagodas, temples, houses and especially the Japanese Covered
Bridge (Cau Nhat Ban or Lai Vien Kieu), for you to stroll through the
small streets in this ancient town. Take a sunset boat ride off the lovely
beaches and wander around the harbor for a taste of Hoi An's varied history.
One of the most stunning site in Quang Nam is My Son Holy Land, the most
important Cham site of Vietnam, and UNESCO has regconized World Cultural
Heritage Site.
